Mechelen
city centre is easily accesible by car.
- Take the E-19 motorway (Antwerp - Brussels), exit number
9 "Mechelen-Noord".
- Follow the signs to "Centrum".
- Go straight over the main intersection (where McDonalds is on the right hand side).
- Turn right at the next traffic lights, into the "St. Katelijnestraat".
- Follow this road until you reach the Cathedral.
- Right before the Cathedral, turn left to enter the Wollenmarkt.
- The grey gate in front of you gives access to the "Den Wolsack"
hotel and the "'t Oud Conservatorium" Brasserie.
Parking your car
- There is a paid parking system on the Wollenmarkt (Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm).
- Another parking facility is the "Grote Markt" underground parking garage, locatied at the other side of the St. Rumbold's Cathedral. This parking is guarded 24 hours a day . It is managed by Vinci Parks.
Train
The "Mechelen - Nekkerspoel" railway station is the closest to the hotel (15 minutes on foot). Walking from the "Mechelen Centraal" station would take about 25 minutes, but you can also take the city bus.

Mechelen has a very punctual city bus network (De Lijn) as well as reliable taxi services. |
