What to wear today? |
|
|
|
Thursday, 20 May 2010 |
What to wear today? Many females can probably relate to my ( Erno) problem when they stand before their walk-in dresser in the morning - what should I wear today?
I just realized us males have similar problems: which BlackBerry or other device will I wear today? And this is just a small subset om my collection of 30+ devices ;-) | |

Volcano & Fire & Ice = Cooking in the Bowl |
|
|
|
Sunday, 18 April 2010 |
The Islandic Gods have taken revenge, first on Heathrow in the UK, soon followed by Schiphol Amsterdam Airport in the Netherlands and and then almost all other airports in Europe. And it is obvious that this was on behalf of the Islandic people, as they are hanging on with their fingernails and left in the cold by the rest of the world about the Icesave Bank dispute. And because of all that Fire in the Ice of Iceland a group of Open Horizons experts are now cooking in a real South African Bowl. |

Yes, after traveling 1740 miles from El Paso (TX) to Salt Lake City (UT) with many detours and stops at National Parks and Monuments, we managed to arrive at the Salt Palace Convention Center on Sunday afternoon. The first thing we obviously did is building the Open Horizons booth in the IT Central area of the big convention center hall. Giving Birth to GroupWise@Home - Tommy Mikkelsen |
|
|
|
Sunday, 27 December 2009 |
 Recently
Tommy Mikkelsen, the Lead Developer for GroupWise@Home, has created an
article about the start of GroupWise@Home project. This short article
was published in the Open Horizons Magazine and will reveal some of the
details
about the GroupWise@Home Project,
as well as describing how it matured from
an idea into a full blown project, with developers
from all over the world coming
together.
The article has been written by one of the
developers and, as such, may be a bit
nerdish. |

The show must go on .... and it will! |

 Saturday
evening September 19 at 21:32 on the German autobahn: while driving the Open Horizons
camper and passing a rather slow car, when switching to the left lane
suddenly with a big bang the left rear tire blows away. The camper
starts wobbling and by just managing to keep some control, it first hits
the left guardrail, then swerves to the right into the side of the other
car and ends up against the right guard rail. The first impulse is to
check on the people in the other car, but they seem to be OK. Then it
occurs to me that cars are still passing us very fast and you hear them
hitting debris on the road. |

|
|
|
Friday, 08 May 2009 |
While driving back from the EMEA Tour event in Wroclaw (PL) to Rotterdam (NL)
on the German autobahn (no speed limits!), I realized once more that our world
is shrinking quickly and also becoming " sticky and sweet" very
fast. There is also some interesting news about several Open Horizons projects,
like the EMEA Tour, "GroupWise@Home", " The GroupWise Powerguide
- Second Edition" and a new project for the " GroupWise 8 Admin
Guide", so please read on. |

The Need to distinguish Roles in Our Organizations |
|
|
|
Friday, 20 March 2009 |
I'm currently finishing an article for the next Open Horizons Magazine and I'd like to share some of the ideas behind that article with you. To really unleash the power of solutions like Teaming and GroupWise you need to make sure that at least a number of people in your organization has a more thorough understanding of the many possibilities and opportunities that these solutions can offer them and thus your organization. When introducing (new versions of) these soluytions you therefore need to focus and make sure you provide a wealth of information for your Powerusers and IT Professionals. |
