Hot Patches Released for GW703 and GW800 PDF Print E-mail

Posted by Dean Lythgoe in the NGW List: "Hot Patches were released today for 7.0.3 and 8.0.0. They are 7.0.3 HP3 and 8.0.0 HP2. Included in these hot patches are code changes to address security related problems."
 
Four of the issues are with WebAccess and two of the issues are with GWIA (GroupWise Internet Agent). For your reference the TIDs are: 7003266, 7003267, 7003268, 7003271, 7003272, 7003273

Now already an HotPatch 3 for Groupwise 7.03?
Whe just installed hotpatch 2 in february this year...!
It's good to solved security issue's ASAP, but i also hope, there will be no more hotpatches after this one.

the next planned patch for GW7 is AFAIK SP4. said to be planned for the 2nd half of 2009. see http://marc.info/?l=ngw&m=122840249130599&w=2.

We are glad to get those patches - in my case not really because of security issues but because many tiny unpleasant "features" have been eliminated (misbehaviour of QuickCorrect, installation issues and some more).

My customers are not willing to wait for a SP to get a smooth working client - so I am looking forward using this HP3 (hoping that I will not stumble over some new added bugs)
