It has become a tradition at the EMEA Summit - on Sunday evening after dinner we always offer a Bonus Session. Last year John Ellis highlighted some of the main reasons why GroupWise is a better choice of mail system than a certain market leader. This year John is back with even more reasons and comparisons with other mail systems, mixed in with a few quiz questions to test your knowledge.

This keynote will be delivered by Johan Rosius, Novell Vice President Workgroup EMEA. Johan will discuss the current and future ways-of-working in todays market. Hw will show how organizations can benefit from Novell's collaboration offering, presenting some real-life scenarios as well.

Are you still moving without any pains after yesterdays workout? This morning at 6:30 AM Diethmar will take you even further in the magnificient woods behind Hotel de Buunderkamp. Get involved and moving - you will love this workout!

In this keynote Scott Brown will discuss how GroupWise can help business to improve their productivity in many ways. GroupWise always had a strong set of features to support both individuals as well as teams. The recent addition of Teaming + Conferencing to Novell's portfolio now offers even more opportunities. However, this keynote will primarily focus on the new release of GroupWise8 as well as on future releases.

During this session Rene will show us around in the wondrous world of Joomla.  Open Source is hot - but does it work for you? Well, it has been working for the GroupWiseR, GroupWise Summit and the GUG websites. The Joomla Content Management System has matured into a very versatile platform, used by thousands commercial and non-profit organizations from all over the world. Find out why Joomla can be interesting for your organization as well - is it because of the Open Source label or because of the many modules you can use? Our Joomla guru Rene Kreijveld from One-Company will show you around in the exciting world of Joomla during this Bonus Session after dinner on Tuesday evening.

In todays world it has become increasingly more important to have a strong identity carried across different types of media. Is it possible to alter the look-and-feel of Teaming to suit such corporate branding? In this session participants will be shown what is possible to quickly make Teaming part their corporate identity.

At the end the attending participants should have a general overview of the work involved to alter the looks of Teaming and what can and can not be done. 

During this session Scott Brown will take us on a trip back-stage at Novell: How does you create a new version of a solution like GroupWise? What is the process behind the decisions made to implement or not implement certain features. Learn more about this from one of the people that has been in the trenches for many years - make sure to join this exciting session!

The Third Edition of the Great GroupWise Challenge is created by our very special GroupWise Support Engineers Jan-Arie Snijders and Rob van Kooten (Novell EMEA). They will always help you to get it up and running again and with this we mean your GroupWise system, of course, nothing else. As part of the fun during the Summit, Jan-Arie and Rob invite everyone who's brave enough to join them for this big challenge. For years they have been helping people to repair their systems, now they have created the third version of your worst GroupWise nightmare: a GroupWise system which is so messed up, that it will need all your expertise to get it going again.

 
The challenges are two-fold: make sure your team can open a mailbox and then send a mail to the Internet from this system. And attendees can win some very cool prizes. So get going, get it up and running again at the EMEA Summit.
