 The Open Horizons Running Team is a community initiative to connect runners all around the world and to allow them to share their experiences, set their goals and celebrate their successes when accomplishing such a goal. Many people in the IT industry would like to be more active with sports, however often the pressure of the job makes it difficult to participate regularly in team sport. Running is a far more flexible sport, all you need is some good shoes. However it is also an individual sport which does not always offer a lot of inspiration and discipline.
Members of the Open Horizons Running Team share their efforts via http://community.open-horizons.net and therefore encourage each other to accomplish more - set your goals and show them, to put some pressure on yourself as well as being encouraged by others. The picture on the right shows one of the members of the Running Team, Marcel de Korte (age 16), while finishing his first 10 km run in his Open Horizons Running Shirt at the Coolsingel in Rotterdam (NL).
