Q: Now that Nokia has announced that they will step away from mobile sync solutions, should we even look at GroupWise Mobile Server? Is there a future?

The announcement from Nokia has raised a lot of eyebrows, both within Novell and even within Nokia/Intellisync. The reality is that GMS will be supported for another two years, however alternatives must of course now be considered. Novell is working on some final answers within the next few weeks, probably before the Summit. Q: For some reasons we've so many (different) workstations and laptops, can we still deploy Windows with just one image? Q: We really need to cut our communication costs, is there a solution to integrate VoIP with GroupWise? Q: I've heard there are so many new features in GroupWise 8, what is the best way to introduce them to our users? Q: How long does it take to install a new Teaming + Conferencing Environment? What hardware do I need? The answer comes from Lab190 - Installing & deploying Novell Teaming + Conferencing - it could under 15 minutes and in most cases need only one server (compare that to some other solutions ;-)

Q: Backup and restore of collaboration solutions always seem to give you a headache, any help available? Q: We need some extra tools and can't spend a lot of money. Is everything buyware, where do I find free tools? Q: OK, GroupWise WebAccess is pretty good compared to other webbased solutions, however it does not fit into our policies - colors are wrong and several features we would like to limit. Q: GroupWise 7 client install has not always been painless, how can we make this easier when we deploy GroupWise 8? Q: Migrating our servers from GroupWise 7 to GroupWise 8, anything special I need to know? The server upgrade of GroupWise has almost always been pretty straightforward when moving from one version to another, often hardware would  not even have to be replaced. Q: We need to prove that GroupWise is indeed as reliable as is being claimed, how can we do this without spending a lot of money? Money is indeed important, strangely enough failure of other solutions are allowed to be solved by spending a lot of money, proving that GroupWise does an excellent job should not costs any money.
