With the launch of the new Open Horizons Training Center on February 1 the Open Horizons community will add another method of sharing the vast amount of knowledge within our community. We are indeed very proud of this new facility, which is located at the Noordereiland in Rotterdam (NL).

February 1 - Installing & Configuring Novell DataSync & ActiveSync Connector

On Monday February 1 Uwe Krause (DE) will start with first-ever session of "Installing and Configuring Novell DataSync and the ActiveSync Connector", a unique training around this new and important subject. Previously Uwe has been presenting Hands-On labs on this subject at the EMEA Summit. Based on his experiences you can be one of the first to work with this very cool solution, to synchronize data between different datasources, like from CRM to GroupWise and Exchange or the other way around. This training also includes the new ActiveSync connector, which in the near future will replace GroupWise Mobile Server and allows you to synchronize all this data to your mobile devices.

February 2 + 3 - Developing a Xen High Availability with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

On Tuesday February 2 and Wednesday February 3 Sander van Vugt will present "Developing a Xen High Availability Solution with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11", a brand-new training about the very important subject of high-availability. Many companies are looking for an affordable way to create a high availability environment for their virtual machines. You can create such an environment with the High Availability Extension, which is available as an additional product with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11. In this class you'll learn how to build this solution, based on Xen virtualization, Heartbeat / Pacemaker high availability and the cLVM volume manager.
